William Saliba has this season been given a chance to show his talent to the Arsenal fans and he has revealed the interesting thing about Mikel Arteta.

Arsenal completed the signing of William Saliba in the 2019 summer transfer window and he has after a few years finally got a chance to showcase his talent to the gunners this season. The 21-year-old defender has been a regular starter for Arsenal since the start of the season and he has opened up on working with Mikel Arteta as his boss.

Speaking about his experience of working with Arteta, Saliba said: “What you see on the pitch is the same inside the training ground. He loves his job and he gives us that feeling, and it’s good to have a coach like that.” as per Arsenal Media.

The young defender also spoke about how Arteta’s pre-match talks motivate him to perform well: “Before the game, he always talks well and when you get on the pitch, you want to do well because the way he speaks makes you want to fight. You can see that he trusts me.”

Saliba’s comments suggest that Arteta’s methods are having a positive impact on him and his teammates at Arsenal. The Gunners have had a consistent season so far and they remain in contention to winning the Premier League in this campaign.

Arteta’s trust in Saliba is also evident from his selection policy this season, as the young defender has been given plenty of opportunities to prove himself at Premier League level. It remains to be seen if Saliba can continue to develop under Arteta’s guidance but it is clear that both parties are enjoying their current relationship.
