Arsenal face a crucial game against Manchester City on Wednesday, and it looks like they will be without four key players.
Emile Smith Rowe had been a key figure for the Gunners last season season, but a groin issue has plagued him throughout this campaign and he is likely to miss the match. The 22-year-old has made just five Premier League appearances so far this term, and his absence will be felt in the midfield.
Gabriel Jesus is another player who won’t feature in the match. The Brazilian forward suffered medial ligament damage whilst playing for his country in the World Cup group stages, and returned to London to undergo surgery on his knee. He is expected to be out for at least another month of footballing action.

Reiss Nelson is another absentee due to injury. The extent of his hamstring injury was unknown when he was left out of Arsenal’s squad for their 2-0 win at Tottenham, with Arteta admitting that it could be problematic.
Finally, Mohamed Elneny is also set to miss out due to a knee issue picked up in training ahead of the clash with Tottenham. It is believed that his season might be done as his return might find when the league campaign has already ended.
The absence of these four players will be a huge blow for Arsenal as they look to keep pace with Manchester City in the title race. However, they will have to make do without them as they attempt to get a result against Pep Guardiola’s side on Wednesday night.
