Arsenal reportedly plotting £80million striker summer move

Arsenal will in the summer transfer window try to sign new players and a new report has revealed that the gunners are plotting to sign a £80million striker.

Arsenal have reignited their interest in Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez ahead of the summer transfer window, according to sources close to Football Insider. The 25-year-old Argentine is reportedly very keen on a move to the Emirates Stadium and is viewed as one of the most saleable assets at Inter Milan.

Martinez has been in impressive form this season, scoring 15 goals and providing seven assists in 30 appearances for the Serie A side. He has also been linked with a move to other European clubs, but Arsenal are now said to be leading the race for his signature in the summer.

The Gunners are reportedly willing to pay between £70-80million for Martinez, who has been tipped as one of the most promising strikers in Europe. He is seen as an ideal replacement or backup for Gabriel Jesus and Mikel Arteta might probably find a way to make them both play together next season.

The club have already completed the signings of Leandro Trossard, Jakob Kiwior and Jorginho in the January transfer window but they will however have to make other signings in the summer transfer window to plan for future seasons which will likely include them in the UEFA Champions League hence the need for them to get more good players such as Lautaro Martinez.
