Arsenal receive bad news ahead of their match against Aston Villa

Arsenal's match against Aston Villa is just a few hours from now and the gunners have reportedly received bad news ahead of this game.

Arsenal have been dealt a major blow ahead of their match against Aston Villa on Saturday, as Thomas Partey has been ruled out due to a muscular injury. The Ghanaian midfielder sustained the injury in training last week and has not recovered in time for the game as per journalist Chris Wheatley.

The news comes as a huge setback for Arsenal, who are already struggling for form. The Gunners have failed to win any of their last four matches across all competitions, and were recently knocked off the top of the Premier League table following a defeat to Manchester City.

Without Partey, Arsenal will be without one of their most influential players in midfield. The 29-year-old has been an integral part of Mikel Arteta’s side since his arrival from Atletico Madrid and his absence will be felt keenly by the Gunners.

Partey’s absence could also open up opportunities for other players in midfield. Jorginho is likely to take up Partey’s role at the base of midfield.

Arsenal will need to find a way to stop their current slide if they are to get anything from Saturday’s match against Aston Villa. With Partey out, it will be even more difficult for them to get back on track and regain their place at the top of the Premier League table.
