Arsenal fans receive an update on their club’s efforts of signing Moises Caicedo

Arsenal are currently linked with a move for Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo and the gooners have received an update on this.

Moises Caicedo, the 21-year-old Ecuadorian midfielder, has been told to stay away from Brighton and Hove Albion’s training ground until February 1st when the transfer window closes. This comes after Caicedo made it clear that he wanted to leave the club following interest from Arsenal as per journalist David Ornstein.

In a statement released on social media, Caicedo spoke of his compassion for supporters of the club, “I am grateful to Mr Bloom and Brighton for giving me the chance to come to the Premier League and I feel I have always done my best for them. I always play football with a smile and with heart. I am the youngest of 10 siblings from a poor upbringing in Santa Domingo in Ecuador.”

The 21-year-old also admitted that making it into major European leagues such as England’s Premier League was his goal when he first started kickstarting his soccer career, “My dream is always to be the most decorated player in the history of Ecuador.” He further thanked him hometown fans for embracing him into their hearts before expressing excitement over potentially setting a new transfer fee record if he moves away from Brighton – “The fans have taken me into their hearts and they will always be in my heart so I hope they can understand why I want to take up this magnificent opportunity.”

The Ecuadorian midfielder is highly rated by many in South America and is seen as one of the most promising young players in the region. His potential move to Arsenal could be a major coup for the Gunners, who are looking to add more depth to their midfield options.

It remains unclear whether Arsenal will make a move for Caicedo before the transfer window closes on February 1st. However, it appears that Brighton are expecting him to be part of their squad for the second half of this season regardless of what happens in January.

With his future still up in the air, it will be interesting to see where Caicedo ends up come February 1st. Will he remain at Brighton or will he make a move elsewhere? Only time will tell.
