Ten Arsenal players will be representing their countries during the upcoming World Cup.
FIFA WORLD CUP
The 2022 FIFA World Cup is scheduled to start on Sunday and Arsenal will be having ten representatives at the Qatar edition.
The sizeable representation is due to Arsenal’s impressive results this season especially in the Premier League. The Gunners sit five points clear at the top of the league.
Arsenal’s biggest representation is on the England national team with three players, two players are on the Brazil national team.
Goalkeepers: Matt Turner (USA), Aaron Ramsdale (England)
Defenders: Takehiro Tomiyasu (Japan), William Saliba (France), Ben White (England)
Midfielders: Granit Xhaka (Switzerland), Thomas Partey (Ghana)
Forwards: Gabriel Martinelli (Brazil), Gabriel Jesus (Brazil), Bukayo Saka (England).
Notable absentees include Gabriel Magalhaes, Fabio Vieira, Omar Rekik and Albert Sambi Lokonga while Martin Odegaard, Mohamed Elneny and Kieran Tierney are among the players whose countries did not qualify.
The tournament is due to start on 20 November and will run until 18 December.
