The UEFA Europa League has returned this week and Arsenal will welcome FC Zurich at the Emirates Stadium for the final game of their group stage matches and this will unexpectedly be an important match since they are at a risk of losing their top spot. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has opened up about the two Arsenal players that will miss the UEFA Europa League game against Zurich this evening.
Arsenal will hope to collect all the three points today so that they do not finish second in their group and be at the likelihood of playing the clubs that have got brought down from the UEFA Champions League such as Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta had a pre-match press conference and gave an injury update that confirmed Mohamed Elneny, and Oleksandr Zinchenko would not be available for the game against FC Zurich despite their progress.
“They are at different stages obviously. Mo had a long-term injury but he has recovered now in a really good way and has been training with the team for a week or two now.” said Mikel Arteta as per Arsenal Player.
“Alex is just very recent and he’s had two training sessions. Bukayo just missed one or two sessions and was fine today.”
Mikel Arteta confirmed that Bukayo Saka was likely to feature for the gunners in the match against FC Zurich.
