Arsenal has had an awesome start to this season as they find themselves on top of the Premier League table with only just one loss. The gunners recently faced their arch rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday with many waiting to see whether they would continue their fine form even against a big six side and they won 3-1. Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed the only thing that could stop them from winning the Premier League this season.
Arsenal has not won the Premier League since 2004 and it’s not something that the fans would have thought they would be discussing when this campaign begun as the generally accepted expectation was the top four. Former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger who left the North London club in 2018 has opened up on the chances of the gunners winning the league this season and says that only Manchester City could have a higher chance than the gunners of being crowned Champions.
“I would put them just behind City. The second best team to have a good chance to win the Premiership.”
“Manchester City at some stage will focus highly on UCL. I think so (that’s Arsenal’s best chance).” Arsene Wenger said on beIn SPORTS.
“We don’t know about Liverpool, but they are already 11 points behind. 10 points behind City is mountain to climb. Chelsea doesn’t look consistent. They’ve not found confidence to pretend to win the league. Tottenham, anyway, by my DNA I can not believe they will.”
