Arsenal are expected to be among the most busiest clubs in the summer transfer window as they have a huge chance of going to the market with a huge amount of funds to spend thanks to UEFA Champions League qualification. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta let Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang go in the January transfer window due to the disagreements they had and so the fans will be expecting a replacement.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang won’t be the only one that will need to be replaced as both Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah will leave Arsenal at the end of this season since the club is yet to renew their contracts and current rumours are yet to say otherwise. It’s now being reported by The Daily Mail that Arsenal have identified Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus as an ideal striker target in the summer transfer window and that a deal would be possible since he only has one year remaining on his current contract.

Gabriel Jesus has been an incredible player for Manchester City since he signed for The Citizens and he has this season scored 7 goals as well as having 8 assists in the Premier League, and it’s claimed in the report that the gunners are the favourites to sign the Brazilian international as he is open to a move to a different club. The 25 year old’s ability to play different numbers in the attacking line could be an added bonus for Mikel Arteta as it would give him the chance to use the Brazilian in many different ways in certain matches.
It will be interesting to see whether Arsenal will try to renew the contracts of either Alexandre Lacazette or Eddie Nketiah but what is for sure is that they will definitely be in the market for a striker and Jesus is obviously now a target.
