Video: Martin Odegaard’s brilliant contribution that goes under the radar

Odegaard has been Arsenal's silent hero lately and may not be getting the credit he deserves.

Martin Odegaard cemented himself as Arsenal’s no.10 playing behind the central striker this season.

ly, his performances have been top-notch, being involved in the build-up to the goals.

His playmaking skills have led to comparisons with Mesut Ozil. Not only does he offer incisive diagonal passes and frequent take-ons to the left side of the field, but Odegaard is also a hardworking high presser.

Odegaard has 4 goals and 4 assists in all competitions this season and could have had more assists had the forwards been more clinical after receiving some of his slick passes. The 23-year-old averages 2.3 chances created per 90 minutes, the highest within the squad.

While the likes of Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe get most of the praise, Odegaard’s brilliance has remotely gone under the radar.

For £30m it is safe to say Arsenal made a big transfer bargain. The new striker for next season will surely thrive on Odgeaard’s playmaking skills.
