Schedule: Arsenal set for busy December with action-packed fixtures

Arsenal are set for a busy December fixture schedule.

Arsenal are faced with a hectic month packed with many fixtures in a short-term.

The Gunners face a grueling run of eight matches in just 26 days, seven of those coming in the Premier League.

Unlike other European leagues that have a winter break, the Premier League has a continuous schedule throughout December and January.

This season Arsenal have played fewer games compared to previous campaigns as a result of missing out on European football.

  • Premier League: Manchester United(A) – December 2
  • Premier League: Everton(A) – December 6
  • Premier League: Southampton (H) – December 11
  • Premier League: West Ham (H) – December 15
  • Premier League: Leeds United (A) – December 18
  • Carabao Cup: Sunderland (H) – December 21
  • Premier League: Norwich (A) – December 26
  • Premier League: Wolves (H) – December 28

It is a tricky period as the outcome most likely will define the season. Faltering here could affect Arsenal’s top four chances.

If Arsenal continues with their good form they could head into the second half of the season among the top four. At the moment the Gunners trail fourth placed West Ham on goal difference.
