Arsenal vs Newcatle: team news, match details, key stats & predicted lineup

Arsenal will aim to return to winning ways when they battle it out with Newcastle on Saturday afternoon.

After an unbeaten run of 10 games across all competitions, Arsenal were handed a rude awakening in the form of a 4-0 defeat to Liverpool.

This weekend the Gunners have a good opportunity to bounce back from last week’s humbling against a struggling Newcastle.

Newcastle are bottom of the table and have not won a single game this season across all competitions they however are under now Eddie Howe after Steve Bruce’s sacking.

Team news

Arsenal’s only injury concerns are Granit Xhaka [knee] and Sead Kolasinac [ankle].

“Granit has progressed his recovery to running outside, with the aim to now be back in full training in December.” Arteta provided an update.

Mikel Arteta has majority of his players available and could make a few changes ahead of the busy December schedule that sees Arsenal in action again on Thursday.

Arsenal have won 16 of their last 17 Premier League games against Newcastle, with the exception being a 2-1 away loss in April 2018.

The Gunners have never lost a Premier League home game against the side starting the day bottom of the table (W15 D6), winning the last eight in a row by an aggregate score of 23-2.

Since a 1-0 victory in November 2010, Newcastle have lost each of their last nine away league games against Arsenal, failing to score in each of the last five.
