Report: Arsenal make opening player plus cash “proposal” for James Maddison

Arsenal have identified Maddison as the ideal no.10 and have made their first move.Arsenal have proposed a player plus cash deal for Leicester midfielder James Maddison.

Arsenal have proposed a player plus cash deal for Leicester’s attacking midfielder James Maddison according to Chris Wheatly.

Maddison is on Arsenal’s transfer list and has been linked with a move to north London for a month now. The Gunners also had Martin Odegaard on their wish list.

The 24-year-old is reportedly at the top of the list for Arsenal in the transfer window and he is open to moving to the Emirates.

The player offered to Leicester in the proposal has not been disclosed however, Leciester will demand for a fee close to £70m for the Englishman.

Football.london also reports that another London club are interested in James Maddison which could complicate Arsenal’s deal.

Maddison scored 8 goals and 5 assists in 31 Premier League appearances for Leicester and has been mentioned as the ideal signing for Arsenal this summer.
