Report: Arsenal get a boost in their pursuit of Lautaro Martinez

Arsenal are interested in Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez and its now reported that the gunners might have received a boost in their pursuit of the Argentine international.

Arsenal are interested in Inter Milan star Lautaro Martinez since they have put getting a new striker in their targets for this summer transfer window since their current senior  centre forwards are all already passed 30 years old. Lautaro Martinez is an ambitious move that many understand will be hard for Arsenal to pull off but the North Londoners might have received a boost in their pursuit of the star.

Lautaro Martinez is considered to be one of the best forwards in Europe as he scored 17 goals in the Italian Serie A last season and was very important in helping Inter Milan win their first league title in a decade hence attracting interest from many clubs including Arsenal, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona.

Arsenal have already shown their desire to sign Lautaro Martinez and they might have received a boost in their pursuit of the Argentine international as The Telegraph claims that Inter Milan would rather sell him in this summer transfer window than lose Romelu Lukaku who Chelsea are currently interested in signing at the moment.

This is a big boost for the North Londoners as it shows that Inter Milan are ready to cash in on Arsenal’s transfer target Lautaro Martinez and all they have to do is make a bid that the Italian club would find satisfying. It’s been reported in domestic sources that Arsenal are likely to sell some of their strikers in this summer transfer window as Arteta continues his mission of trimming the squad and so a new capable striker like Martinez would be needed to come and fill the void.
