The new Premier League season finally gets underway after a two and a half months break and once again Arsenal’s match will be the first televised game of the new season.
Brentford will host Arsenal at the Brentford Community Stadium on Friday night at 20:00 (GMT).
Arsenal will be aiming to get off on the right foot after having a disappointing season last term. The Gunners finished eighth last term and missed out on European football for the first time in two decades.
Arsenal have some injury concerns heading into the opening match of the league campaign.
Both Thomas Partey and Gabriel Magalhaes are unavailable with the former sustaining an ankle injury during his side’s defeat to Chelsea in a friendly match while Gabriel still has a knee issue that stopped him from competing at the Olympics with Brazil. Eddie Nketiah is also ruled out with an ankle injury

Gabriel Martinelli is also unlikely to feature, having just returned from his Olympic exploits in Tokyo while Rob Holding will have to be assessed on whether he can feature against the new promoted side.
New £50m signing Ben White is expected to make his competitive debut while Bukayo Saka is available having come off the bench during Sunday’s friendly with Spurs.
