Arsenal handed major boost in their pursuit of long term transfer target

Arsenal have been handed a major boost in their pursuit of Houssem Aouar as Lyon are now open to letting the 23-year-old leave on loan with obligation to buy according to reports in France.

Aouar has been on Arsenal’s radar for a year now. The Gunners failed to reach an agreement with Lyon last summer as the French side demanded €60m for the midfielder.

The France international has become unsettled at the club and expressed his desire to leave and thus Lyon have decided to lower their demands.

Aouar’s price tag is around £25m a fee Arsenal should comfortably pay if they are still interested in the talented midfielder.

Arsenal face competition from Tottenham with the north London side keen on signing Aouar from Lyon.
