Arsenal close in on their fourth signing of the summer ahead of the deadline

Arsenal have so far completed the signing of three players and its now reported that they are close to signing their fourth of the window.

Arsenal have so far completed three signings in this summer transfer window and the fans are not yet satisfied especially after they lost to Brentford on opening day. Nuno Tavares, Sambi Albert Lokonga and Ben White have all been signed and its now reported that the gunners are close to reaching an agreement for their fourth signing of the summer transfer window.

Arsenal have made signing a new goalkeeper one of their main priorities for this summer transfer window as they are only left with Bernd Leno who is the first choice goalkeeper and Runnarson isn’t fully trusted by Mikel Arteta. It is believed that Arsenal are not just looking for a goalkeeper to sign but that they will also want one who is homegrown and so they have identified Sheffield United’s Aaron Ramsdale as the perfect candidate for their requirements.

It was reported last week that Arsenal had ended their interest in Aaron Ramsdale after Sheffield United showed that they wouldn’t budge on their £30million asking price for the goalkeeper but a new report by Football.London has however reported that the deal seems to be on, and that the Championship side have relaxed their demands and that Arsenal are pushing to complete the deal.

The report claims that a source told them that Arsenal and Sheffield United are likely to reach an agreement of £20million with add-ons which would make Aaron Ramsdale their fourth signing of the summer. This deal will obviously give birth to a lot of questions as most fans have pushed for the club to first sign an attacking midfielder but it however looks like they are going to first finish the deal for Ramsdale.
