Report: Two reasons why Arsenal could sign Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham

Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham and here are two reasons why the gunners could complete this deal.

Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham who failed to get a lot of minutes at the Stamford Bridge last season and these rumours have brought a lot of mixed reactions from the fan base of the North Londoners. We however take a look as to the two reasons that could see Arsenal push to sign Abraham this summer.

Tammy Abraham is reported to be open to a move away from Chelsea since his chances of becoming a regular are low due to The Blues trying to bring in new striker in this summer transfer window hence Arsenal showing interest in the Englishman.

1. TAMMY GIVES ARSENAL A WAY TO FIX ITS LACAZETTE PROBLEM

Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette has entered into the final year of his current contract at the Emirates Stadium and the gunners are still unsure whether they want to tie him on a new long-term deal when he will gradually lose his quality since he is already 30 years old. Alexandre Lacazette is only able to play as a lone striker and it seems like Aubameyang is here to stay so a deal bringing Tammy Abraham would help the gunners fix this problem.

Most reports about Arsenal’s interest in Tammy Abraham have claimed that the gunners would have to first sell Lacazette to fund the signing of the Chelsea striker, and it definitely makes sense as the gunners would get a young ambitious 24 year old striker, while also reducing on their wage bill since the Frenchman is one of the highest earners.

2. TAMMY ABRAHAM STATISTICALLY BETTER THAN ARSENAL’S CURRENT STRIKING YOUNGSTERS

Many Arsenal supporters have been disappointed with the rumours linking Tammy Abraham to the Emirates Stadium because they believe that he would take away all the minutes that their young striker such as Martinelli, Nketiah and Balogun would get but it’s however a fact that the Chelsea boy is statistically better than them.

Abraham scored 15 Premier League goals in his debut season with the first team of Chelsea and so he is really up to the job and the stats back him.
