James Maddison is one of Arsenal’s main targets for the central attacking midfield position that the gunners want to fill in this summer transfer window and we are today going to take a look at how the North Londoners would lineup with him next season if they get successful in this deal. Maddison is an outstanding Premier League proven midfielder that still has his prime years ahead of him.
The predicted Arsenal lineup is done with the thought that Hector Bellerin is not sold and Ben White is included since his deal is said to be completed with only the official announcement yet to be done.
PREDICTED LINEUP FOR NEXT SEASON WITH JAMES MADDISON
ARSENAL LINEUP WITH MADDISON
TEXT FORM: Leno, Tierney, Gabriel, White, Bellerin, Lokonga, Partey, Pepe, Maddison, Saka, Aubameyang
FORMATION: 4-2-3-1
James Maddison would transform the Arsenal team since he is very creative and also has an eye for goal which is something that the gunners really need in their team since most of their midfielders last season were not able to get more than five combined goals. In this system of 4-2-3-1 that Arteta uses, Maddison would be fully free to link up with Saka, Pepe and Aubameyang since he would at the back be given protection by a midfield duo of Lokonga and Partey.
Maddison played well off each other with Jarmie Vardy before his injury woes and so Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta will hope that the Englishman could implement the same with Aubameyang if they manage to bring him to the Emirates Stadium before the end of the transfer window.
