Lokonga has been on Arsenal's radar for over a month and now finally his move to north London will materialize.

Arsenal are finalizing a deal to bring Albert Sambi Lokonga to the Emirates stadium from Anderlecht according to metro.

Lokonga has been on Arsenal’s radar for over a month and now finally his move to north London will materialize.

Belgian outlet Nieuwsblad report that Arsenal are set to complete the signing of Albert Sambi Lokonga, and he is expected to complete a medical soon.

The same outlet previously reported that Lokonga will sign a five-year deal until 2026 for €17.5m initial plus potential bonuses of €4m taking the total to €22m.

The deal slightly stalled because Anderlecht wanted a 15% sell-on clause inserted in the 21-year-old’s contract but Arsenal disagreed. The two clubs finally reached a compromise of a 5% sell-on clause.

With Arsenal set to sell-off a number of midfielders, the Belgian youngster will slot in as a replacement for Matteo Guendouzi who has left for Marseille.

Sambi Lokonga will be Arsenal’s second signing of the transfer window after Nuno Tavares. Though Arsenal are yet to make an official announcement.
