Arsenal fans receive good news on the hopes of their club signing Houssem Aouar

Arsenal fans were a few days afraid that they had lost Houssem Aouar but they have however received good news about the future of the French international.

Arsenal have been interested in Lyon attacking midfielder Houssem Aouar for more than one year now and the gooners were left scared a few days after a report claimed that Tottenham Hotspur had tabled an offer that would likely be accepted by the French club to snatch the transfer target of their arch rivals. Arsenal fans have however received good news about Houssem Aouar that will surely be beneficial for their club in its pursuit of the Frenchman.

Houssem Aouar is an outstanding midfielder in the French Ligue one and he has been linked with an exit from Lyon in most transfer windows but his departure seems more likely this summer since his current contract is yet to be renewed and most clubs in France are facing a lot of financial problems due to their league’s broadcasting deal collapsing.

The Arsenal supporters were afraid that Tottenham Hotspur might snatch Aouar from them since the report claimed that Spurs were hoping to do a swap deal of him and Tanguy Ndombele but the gooners have however received good news as Football.London journalist Alasdair has confirmed that those reports were false, and that no such offer was made even though they have shown interest in him in the past.

Houssem Aouar’s price has been slashed in this summer transfer window as he is now reportedly valued at €25million even though he was going to cost upwards the double of his current price last summer. It will be interesting to see if Arsenal does become serious in their interest as he is now in their price range.
