Arsenal receive bad news in their pursuit of Ben White

Arsenal are interested in signing Ben White and have already had one bid rejected but it's now reported that they might have received bad news.

Arsenal will in this summer transfer window try to sign a new centre back since their current defenders are lacking in quality and many reports have claimed that Mikel Arteta has chosen Ben White as the perfect candidate for the job. The gunners recently made their bid and it was rejected and its now revealed that the North Londoners have received bad news in their pursuit of the Englishman.

Ben White was one of the best centre backs in the Premier League last season and this has seen him attract a number of suitors including the gunners who have so far made one bid of £40million which was however rejected by Brighton but it’s however believed that they will come again with other offers for the Englishman.

It is believed that Arsenal might have made signing Ben White their main summer transfer target but it’s however been reported by The Mirror that the gunners might have received bad news in their pursuit of the defender as its claimed that Paris Saint Germain are ready to hijack the deal from the North Londoners because their boss Mauricio Pochettino is a big fan of the 23 year old.

It’s believed that Brighton & Hove Albion are requesting from Arsenal an offer that will be more than £50million and Paris Saint Germain which is a very big money spender could be willing to spend any amount that that the Premier League club requests.

Arsenal decided not to renew the contract of David Luiz and some reports have claimed that Mikel Arteta wants Ben White to replace him and also to provide competition for his current centre backs.
