Arsenal fans receive good news on the club’s pursuit of Houssem Aouar

Arsenal have for long been interested in Lyon's Houssem Aouar and the fans have now received good news on the club's pursuit of the Frenchman.

Arsenal have been pretty busy in this summer transfer window even though they are yet to officially announce the signing of any player. It’s a well known fact that Arsenal have made signing a creative midfielder one of their main priorities this season and a new report has claimed that the gunners could finally sign their long term target Houssem Aouar.

Arsenal had one of their lowest goal scoring seasons in the 2020/21 campaign and one of the main reasons was because they lacked a goal scoring and chance creating midfielder, and they will now be forced to dive into the summer transfer market since they were not able to permanently sign Real Madrid’s Martin Odegaard.

Arsenal was in the previous last two transfer window heavily linked with a move for Lyon attacking midfielder Houssem Aouar but they have always ended their interest after it becoming financially impossible for them to sign him. The Arsenal fans have however received some wonderful news today about the club’s pursuit of Houssem Aouar as The Sun is now reporting that the gunners will make a bid for the French midfielder and that a deal could be agreed for as low as £20million.

Houssem Aouar is a highly rated attacking midfielder in French Ligue one and the gunners would gladly take him for the mentioned price since he was valued at over £50million by Lyon last season. It is claimed in the report that Lyon have reduced on their demands after their failure to qualify for next season’s UEFA Champions League.

It is also claimed that Arsenal will try to tempt the 22 year old with a deal that would see him earn £100,000 a week wages.
