Arsenal will likely not be in a European competition next season for the first time in three decades after getting eliminated from the UEFA Europa League in the semi finals by Villarreal and this has brought a lot of pressure on Mikel Arteta as it was the only thing stopping many from criticizing him. Arsenal is owned by Stan Kroenke via his Kroenke Sports and Entertainment Inc and its now reported that they have a made decision on Arteta’s future.
Arsenal have been poor in the league this season as they have lost more than 10 games this season and are currently in the ninth position on the Premier League table with no hope of climbing higher up the log to get into the European spots since the competition is just a few games from coming to an end. Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta’s performance in the league wasn’t good as well in his first season but he however was able to make it a wonderful season by winning the club it’s record 14th Emirates FA Cup.
The Arsenal supporters have in the past few hours been waiting for news about the future of Mikel Arteta and a report by The Mirror has now confirmed that The Kroenke’s have decided not to sack the Spanish manager and that they will give him a chance to manage the North Londoners in the upcoming new season but they however mention that the 39 year old has started being asked serious questions for the first time since he got the job.
Arsenal finished in the 8th position on the Premier League table last season and the fans were hoping to see Mikel Arteta improve on that this season but it however looks like they might finish even lower than that as they still have some strong teams in their remaining league fixtures.
