Arsenal will on Thursday face Villarreal away from home in the UEFA Europa League semi finals and there has been fears of a defeat in the fanbase of the gunners due to their current injuries but Mikel Arteta has however revealed massive good news about their star players in his pre-match press conference.
Arsenal left back Kieran Tierney got injured a few weeks ago and there was fears that he might not play again this season but that might not be true as per the latest comments from gunners boss Mikel Arteta. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has spent some time on the sidelines due to malaria while Alexandre Lacazette got injured in Arsenal’s 1-1 draw with Fulham a few weeks back and it was believed that he would be out for at least a few weeks but that might not be the case anymore.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta faced the media today and was asked about the availability of these three players and he confirmed to the press that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Kieran Tierney and Alexandre Lacazette are all in contention for the game despite the belief by the supporters that they would not be available for this important UEFA Europa League tie.
This is big news for Arsenal and Mikel Arteta since there has been worries that he might not have a senior striker in his squad for the game against Villarreal since both Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang did not play in their game against Everton on Friday last week. Kieran Tierney returning very quickly might be the bigger surprise to Arsenal fans as they had fully accepted that they would never see him play again this season since his injury seemed severe.
