Lacazette makes a statement on his future amid reports of Arsenal wanting to sell him

Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette has been impressive for the gunners this season as he has upped his performances since Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang hasn’t had the same output in goals as he had in the previous three seasons. Alexandre Lacazette’s current contract at Arsenal will soon end and there has been reports of him getting sold but he has commented on his future.

Lacazette has scored 13 goals in the Premier League this season but there has been many reports saying that the gunners might not want to give him a new long-term deal since he is soon turning 30. The reports say that Arsenal will be afraid of having two of their top strikers in their 30’s on long-term contracts and that they would be willing to sell the Frenchman to fund the transfer of a new younger striker that would be part of the future of the North London club.

Alexandre Lacazette has scored a lot of goals in the last few weeks and he was recently asked about his future at the North London club, and he claimed that most of his focus is currently on their road to the UEFA Europa League victory but also said that not everything depends on him since the club would be another party in the new contract negotiations.

“My plan is to win a trophy with the club this season and it would be easy for me to pretend to have a contract extension.” said Alexandre Lacazette as quoted by The Mirror.

“Everything is not only on my side, there is also the club, the manager. There are different things we have to think about. I don’t think it’s the right moment to talk about it.”
