Arsenal will on Saturday welcome Newcastle United to the Emirates Stadium for the third round of the FA Cup and they will hope to continue their form after having won their last three league games. Mikel Arteta’s side seems to have received another boost ahead of this game after the return of an important player.
Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey who arrived at the club in the 2020 summer transfer window has been on the sidelines since the North London Derby after he picked up a knee injury and the gunners have missed him throughout the dark period that almost led to the sacking of Mikel Arteta but they have however still been waiting for his return as he would solidify their team if he starts playing in the current set up.
It looks like Arsenal fans have got their wish as Thomas Partey seems to have started training along his teammates which means he is back in full training ahead of their match against Newcastle United in the FA Cup third round. As seen in the pictures taken by the official club photographer Stuart in today’s training, Thomas Partey looks ready for his return as he is now back in full training.
The return of Partey is a big boost for Arsenal and Mikel Arteta as he was recently saying that it might seem like a new signing since the midfielder didn’t play for long after he put pen to paper to his deal to the Emirates and now with the Spanish coach having got his final formation, Partey’s return will likely make Arsenal a very strong team that the fans will want to make a final push for a UEFA Champions League spot.
