Mikel Arteta speaks out on how Arsenal could ensure Bukayo Saka becomes world-class

Arsenal youngster Bukayo Saka broke into the first team in the 2019/20 season under Unai Emery and he first made his appearances in the UEFA Europa League which then later helped him to get chances in the Premier League squad. Mikel Arteta has also continued using Saka this season and he has spoken out on how they could ensure he finishes well his development and become world-class.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta used Bukayo Saka in his first months as a manager as he was forced to try him as a wing back after he arrived at the club with both Sead Kolasinac and Kieran Tierney injured and the youngster was impressive in that position as he got many assists. Mikel Arteta has kept trust in Saka even when he is now been moved to his rightful position which is on the flank and the 19 year old has repaid his trust as he has created the most chances for the gunners in the league this season.

Bukayo Saka was on Tuesday once again the star of the day after a fantastic attacking move saw him drive on the flank and then pick out Alexandre Lacazette who scored to get the gunners the valuable three points against Brighton & Hove Albion. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta was asked about Bukayo Saka after the game and he explained that they should be cautious with him, and outlined things they would need to do to ensure that he will become a world-class player in the future.

“I would like everybody to be cautious, let him be and let him develop. I think he’s having the right progression. I think he has the right people around him in his house, in his entourage.” Mikel Arteta told Sky Sports last night.

“And he’s got the right team-mates as well to support him all the time, giving him confidence and keeping his feet on the floor. Then hopefully we can be the right coaches around him and the right club to see the player that he can be in the future.”
