Arsenal reportedly identify Mikel Arteta replacement as pressure mounts

Arsenal have reportedly already identified their next manager should Mikel Arteta get sacked.

Arteta could lose his job if results don’t change and reports claim he has just three games to save his job.

The Spanish manager made a bright start to his Arsenal tenure but Premier League results have turned upside down with Arsenal closer to relegation than to the top.

According to a report from Calciomercato the Arsenal hierarchy are ready to appoint Massimiliano Allegri should Arsenal’s status quo remain the same.

Arteta who is under serious scrutiny has three League games to save himself from a sack, these are Burnley, Southampton and Everton.

Those games are winnable with Burnley and Southampton being home matches. But should Arsenal lose to Burnley, a fourth consecutive home defeat Arteta might as well start packing his bags.

Allegri formerly at Juventus is number one on Arsenal’s shortlist. The Italian coach was last year also linked with the Arsenal job but the club instead appointed Arteta.

Allegri remains out of work having departed Juventus a year and a half ago, but his managerial work is brilliant having won four successive doubles in charge of the Italian giants, also adding a fifth Serie A title in his final season.

Times have changed and now a manager is judged by his ability to pick up results something Mikel Arteta is failing to do at the moment. A bad spell of results leads to an inevitable sacking.
