Transfer updates regarding Torreira, Partey, Guendouzi, Aouar and more

As the European transfers deadline day approaches, Arsenal are set to get busy and look to offload some players to make funds for their targets.

Arsenal have until October 5 to sell or buy players from teams outside England but will be able to trade with English teams until October 11.

Here is the latest news regarding transfers;

Lucas Torreira

Arsenal midfielder Torreira is on the verge of joining Atletico Madrid on a season loan deal with an option to buy according to Goal.

But Atletico are reluctant to finalise the transfer until they offload one of their own midfielders Hector Herrera.

Unfortunately the deal does not involve Thomas Partey, Arsenal will have to pay his £45m release clause upfront.

Matteo Guendouzi

Marseille have made an approach to Arsenal about signing Guendouzi on loan for the remainder of the season according to French media outlet Telefoot. However, Arsenal would like to offload him permanently and have tried to offer him as makeweight to both Lyon and Atletico Madrid for Aouar and Partey.

Marseille and Arsenal continue discussions and we await the outcome.

Houssem Aouar

Arsenal and Lyon are locked in negotiations but the Gunners will have only until Friday to seal the deal according to Lyon’s president.

“We wanted to show with this deal that we were not dependent on sales,” Jean-Michel Aulas said, as per Get French Football News.

“From Friday evening, when Rudi [lyon manager] will choose his squad vs Marseille, there will be no departures.

“We could see ourselves lose two players”, he admitted.

This means Arsenal have not more than 24 hours to strike a deal for the 22-year-old midfielder.

Sead Kolasinac

According to the daily mail, Bayer Leverkusen bid £9m for the Bosnian defender. Arsenal will take the cash and use it to fund their transfer targets.

Thomas Partey

As reported by Fabrizio Romano Arsenal are prioritising a move for Aouar who is their main target and it is unlikely that Arsenal will make a move for Partey as things stand.
