Mikel Arteta has revealed he regrets omitting William Saliba from the Europa League squad. The 19 year-old defender alongside Mesut Ozil and Sokratis were left out of squad as the limit of 17 non home-grown players had been reached.
“I feel really bad for William Saliba,” Arteta said. “Because we had so many central defenders, we decided to leave him out of the squad which was really hurtful for me to do”.
