Injury updates regarding Aubameyang, Tierney and whether Partey will play against Manchester City

As the Premier League returns and takes centre stage, we look at the injuries and player availability chances for the weekend game.

Arsenal visit Manchester City on Saturday in match day 5 of the Premier League. The Gunners have managed to win 3/4 games and sit fourth with 9 points.

With several players international duty, the risk of injuries increase though Arsenal will not have much to worry about.

We take a look at the latest injury news and categorise them;

Ruled Out

Pablo Mari, Shkodran Mustafi, Gabriel Martinelli and Callum Chambers remain sidelined and have no chance of playing on Saturday.

Fifty percent chance

Emile Smith-Rowe has been in full training and is subject to a late fitness test while Kieran Tierney who is not injured but was ordered to quarantine for 14 days after being in proximity with a player who was Covid 19 positive while on duty for Scotland.

“We are still having some discussions with the authorities and hopefully we will know more this afternoon.” Mikel Arteta said during today’s press conference.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has recovered from a minor sprain he got while on duty for Gabon. New signing Thomas Partey is in contention to make his debut as Arteta said it will be a decision made based on what he sees in the two days of training.
