Arsenal have in the last few weeks been heavily linked with Lyon attacking midfielder Houssem Aouar as Mikel Arteta will want to include a creative spark to his side for the 2020/21 campaign. Arsenal have now reportedly made progress in their pursuit of Aouar as a report from France has claimed that he has agreed personal terms with the gunners.
The summer transfer window will close in a few days from now and the fans have been waiting for long for Arsenal to step up their interest in their targets such as Houssem Aouar since their match against West Ham United reminded them how they needed an attacking midfielder to improve their midfield which is currently not creative enough without Mesut Ozil.
Houssem Aouar is a highly rated young midfielder in Europe and the gunners have identified him as their main target since Mikel Arteta is a big fan of him after having followed him from his time as an assistant manager of Pep Guardiola. A report by French outlet TELEFOOT LA CHAINE has just confirmed that Arsenal have agreed personal terms with Houssem Aouar and that the North Londoners will now begin talks with Lyon over a fee that would see the French international come to the Emirates Stadium this summer.
The Arsenal supporters will hope that this deal does go through as Aouar is a fantastic player that would improve their side as he is a player that would allow Mikel Arteta to finally start playing his favourite 4-3-3 formation. There has been conflicting reports about the price of Houssem Aouar but it’s widely believed that it is €60million as per some reports from France and so it will be interesting to see if the North Londoners will be able to pay it to get their main summer transfer target.
