Report: Arsenal submit cash plus Guendouzi offer for Mesut Ozil replacement

Arsenal have reportedly sent an offer of cash plus Matteo Guendouzi to sign highly rated midfielder who is deemed as a good replacement for Mesut Ozil.

Arsenal has a lot of priorities in this summer transfer window and among those is signing a new attacking midfielder because Mikel Arteta has shown that he nolonger trusts Mesut Ozil to be the main creator of the team. The gunners have reportedly submitted an offer of Matteo Guendouzi plus cash to get Lyon attacking midfielder Houssem Aouar as per reports from France.

Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta wants to sign a new attacking midfielder as Mesut Ozil has only been able to four assists in the Premier League in the last two seasons and so the club will be hoping to move him out of the club in this transfer window as his departure would also cut on their wage bill. Matteo Guendouzi is nolonger getting considered by Arteta after his antics after the gunners lost to Brighton & Hove Albion and so the Frenchman has been put on the transfer list.

Houssem Aouar is one of the most highly rated midfielders in Europe and has been linked with a number of clubs such as Manchester City, Juventus and it’s now reported that Arsenal have entered the race and that they have even sent an offer of cash plus Matteo Guendouzi as per French newspaper L’Équipe. The report claims that Lyon are yet to reply this bid from Arsenal and so it will be interesting if they accept it as the young Frenchman would fit well in the 4-3-3 system that Arteta wants to start using.

Houssem Aouar has been one of the best midfielders in Europe this season as he has scored nine goals and as well as making 10 assists in all competitions but Arsenal will have to break the bank to get him as the French newspaper claims that Lyon will be requesting €60million to get the 22 year old.
