Mikel Arteta provides an update on Gabriel Magalhaes deal as Arsenal fans await announcement

Arsenal are believed to have completed the signing of Gabriel Magalhaes but it's yet to be announced and Mikel Arteta has now recently given an update to the fans about this deal.

Arsenal are believed to have completed the signing of Gabriel Magalhaes on a fee around €30million and the fans have in the last few days been waiting for the announcement since all reliable sources confirmed that he had agreed to join. Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta has provided an update to the anxious fans that are eager to see Gabriel Magalhaes be confirmed as a gunner.

Arsenal was in this summer transfer window looking for a left footed centre back that would be helpful in progressing the play quickly as seen in their first goal in the Community Shield at the weekend and the club chose Gabriel Magalhaes as their first choice transfer target and after many days of negotiations, the Brazilian international chose the gunners as his next destination.

The gunners have reportedly completed the deal of Gabriel and that he has had his medical but the Arsenal fans are however not satisfied since the club is yet to officially announce it but Mikel Arteta has also opened up about the 22 year old centre back from Lille. The Arsenal boss says that it will be confirmed when all the parties complete all the requirements and also says that they are positive that it will soon be completed.

“Well, everything is okay when both parties sign, and the player agrees the terms and he goes through the medical – sometimes that, in the final stages, is not as easy as it looks. But we are pretty positive that we can do it.” Mikel Arteta told Arsenal’s official website.

“We are trying to finalise a deal. That’s what I can tell you at the moment.”

Gabriel Magalhaes was in the team of the season of the 2019/20 French Ligue one and so the Arsenal fans will be looking forward to see how he performs in the Premier League.
