Gabriel Magalhaes to Arsenal has become the most talked about transfer saga due to it being so unpredictable as the fans are sometimes led to believe that the centre back has made a medical and then it later turns out, the deal is not even close to getting completed. Manchester United’s interest in Gabriel Magalhaes was confirmed on Friday but this transfer saga has taken a new twist in the last few minutes.
Gabriel Magalhaes was very impressive for Lille in the French Ligue one last season as he helped them finish in the fourth position on the table and was even voted in the team of the season hence attracting interest from many clubs such as Arsenal, Napoli, Manchester United and Everton. The gunners seemed to only be in the race with Napoli for the signature of Gabriel until a report by The Independent said that Manchester United had also went to on the scene to try to convince the Brazilian international to join them.
Manchester United’s sudden interest has scared Arsenal fans as they feel that they might lose Gabriel to their rivals but that seems like it might not happen as reliable and popular journalist Fabrizio Romano has reported that Arsenal have increased their offer to the 22 year old in the hope of convincing him to finally join them immediately instead of the other interested clubs.
Romano says that Arsenal submitted this new offer to Gabriel Magalhaes on Friday night and so the gooners will hope that this is enough to convince him to come to North London and put an end to this transfer saga. It is believed that Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta wants Gabriel in his team because he is tall, great on the ball and left footed which is something that he values a lot as it helps in progressing the ball quickly.
