Report: Willian tells Arsenal date when he will decide whether to sign for them

Chelsea forward Willian is out of contract and Arsenal are interested in him and current reports reveal that he has selected a date in which he will open up on his future.

The Premier League 2019/20 campaign came to an end last weekend and Arsenal finished in the 8th position and one of the reasons why they were so way too down the table was relying too much on goals from Aubameyang. Arsenal will look to add more goal scoring attackers this summer and they’ve put their eyes on Willian since he will be a free agent.

Arsenal have taken a massive financial hit due to the COVID-19 pandemic and because they might not be able to play in a European competition next season and so the gunners will be looking to sign players that are available for free transfers like Willian who has failed to agree on a new deal with Chelsea due to demanding a new three year contract as per reports.

It’s no no secret that Arsenal are interested in Willian and a report by The Telegraph has claimed that the gunners will soon know whether the Brazilian international will sign for them as he will finally make the final decision on his future after The Emirates FA Cup final between the two clubs. This doesn’t come as a big surprise as both Arsenal and Chelsea will go head to head on Saturday to get the FA Cup trophy and so Willian could feel that is right that the negotiations start after the game.

The same report also says that Willian has offers within the Premier League and two others from abroad but Arsenal will be hopeful that they will get him since he has in the past openly revealed that he wants to stay in London as his family is comfortable there. Willian has been impressive for Chelsea this season as he scored nine goals as well as making seven assists but the Arsenal fans will however not be happy if the club offers him a three year deal as he wants as most want the club to stop signing old players from The Blues as David Luiz didn’t have the same impact as they hoped he would.
