Report: Five Arsenal players to miss encounter against Aston Villa

Arsenal will take on Aston Villa on Tuesday and the gunners have confirmed that five of their players will not be available for that game.

Now that Arsenal have made it to the FA Cup final, they will have to fully focus on the Premier League as these last two matches could determine whether they play in Europe next season or not. Arsenal will face Aston Villa tomorrow and their latest team news have confirmed that they will be without five players due to injuries.

1. BERND LENO

Arsenal first choice goalkeeper Bernd Leno will not take part in the game against Aston Villa because he is not yet fully fit after he suffered a knee injury in the game against Brighton & Hove Albion. On a rather positive note, the club has confirmed that the German international has started in outside running and ball drills.

2. GABRIEL MARTINELLI

Arsenal youngster Gabriel Martinelli has been on the sidelines for weeks after picking up an injury in a training session. The club says that the Brazilian international comes to the training ground everyday to receive specialist attention and support from their medical team.

3. PABLO MARI

Pablo Mari has also been on the sidelines for weeks as he got injured in the first game post COVID-19 and he will also not be available for selection for tomorrow’s game as he is scheduled to return to full training by September.

4. SHKODRAN MUSTAFI

Arsenal centre back Shkodran Mustafi got a hamstring injury in the recent win over Manchester City and so he will miss the game against Aston Villa.

5. CALUM CHAMBERS

Arsenal centre back Calum Chambers has been on the sidelines for months now and he also won’t be available for tomorrow as he has only just started integrating outside with light ball work. The club says that the Englishman hopes to return before the end of this year.

Arsenal fans will be glad to know that Eddie Nketiah is now available after serving his three game suspension and Cedric Soares will also be in contention as the only reason he didn’t feature in the FA Cup was because he was cup tied.
