Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is yet to agree to a new deal with Arsenal even though his current contract at the club will expire in 2021 and his friend and teammate Alexandre Lacazette has spoken about what he knows about this matter that as the fans are always eager to know the latest information.
Aubameyang has been linked with a move away from Arsenal in the last few months because he is yet to sign a new deal and because its believed that the North Londoners wouldn’t let him to leave the Emirates Stadium for free in 2021 and so that they would opt to sell him in the summer transfer window to raise cash for a replacement.
Aubameyang arrived at Arsenal after Alexandre Lacazette had spent six months at the club and despite both of them being strikers, they’ve formed a great relationship on and off the pitch. Aubameyang has always been a bit quiet about his contract situation and so the fans are always eager to see what the manager or players say about the contract situation of the Gabon international.
Lacazette was recently asked about Aubameyang’s contract situation at Arsenal and he claimed that the 31 year old and him have stopped talking about that subject but he however revealed that he hopes that he will be the first person to know before the press when or if he signs a renewal.

“He is already one of the legends [at Arsenal] because of the amount of goals he’s scored in so few games. But to be honest, we stopped talking about this (his future) because at the beginning it can be funny.” Lacazette told beIN Sports.
“But long term you can start to be annoying because you want something that is not maybe the way we’d like and I don’t want to be the guy being a bit annoying [by keep asking the same questions].”
“So we don’t really speak about his future. I’m just going to wait like everyone else. And I just hope he’s going tell me before the press.”
