Bukayo Saka broke into the Arsenal first team this season and he has surprised everyone as he has become an influential player under Arteta and it looks like the young Englishman has not only impressed the fans but also his fellow teammate and captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Bukayo Saka introduced himself to the Arsenal supporters in the first months of this season in the UEFA Europa League game against Eintracht Frankfurt in which he scored a fantastic goal that helped the North Londoners to get all the three points. Saka started getting minutes after that game but was later dropped in the final months of Unai Emery’s reign at the North London club but the 18 year old has however been rejuvenated under Mikel Arteta in 2020.
Bukayo Saka and Aubameyang have been impressive together as the youngster has been setting up their front three in the last few months as seen in the game against Leicester City in which the young Englishman found the Arsenal captain in the penalty box who then gave the lead to the gunners. Arsenal captain Aubameyang has spoken out on what he likes most about Saka is that he is a young player that is always willing to listen to the advice from the senior players.
“For sure, he is one of the bestyoung talents I’ve ever played with. What I like about him is that he’s always listening for advice from us, the experienced players, and I really like it. He’s really humble and he always wants to go forward, learn more and try to improve his game. Aubameyang told Sky Sports.
“He’s 18 so that’s not a lot of time [to have been playing in the first team] but as I said to him, most importantly he needs to enjoy it because at this age to be at this club, it’s really special and he just has to continue like this, keep improving and I’m sure he will go straight to the top.”
