Arsenal captain Aubameyang
It is no secret that the Gunners are desperate to retain Aubameyang’s services, as he has proven to be their star man ever since his arrival in 2018, this season he has managed to score 20 goals in 32 appearances across all competitions.
Aubameyang is out of contact in June 2021 and it is reported that he has received a contract extension offer according to French media outlet L’Equipe.
Aubameyang continues to be linked with a move to several clubs; Real Madrid, Barcelona and PSG have been notable mentions.
It is believed that Aubameyang desires to play for a team that can compete and win trophies, something that Arsenal cannot offer at the moment considering they are in a rebuilding phase.
Arsenal are still far from competing for the Premier League title and showing no signs of gaining qualification for the Champions League anytime soon, the striker, who turns 31 later this month, could be open to a move elsewhere.
Aubameyang promised his late Grandfather that he would play for Real Madrid and we believe he is likely to make the move to the Spanish giants if he is to quit Arsenal.
