Willian will be leaving Chelsea at the end of June because his contract hasn't been extended and current reports reveal that an Arsenal player is convincing him to come to the Emirates Stadium.
Willian has experience playing in the Premier League
Chelsea winger Willian will be looking for a new club in June since he failed to reach an agreement with the Blues over a new deal and Arsenal have been one of the clubs said to be keeping an eye on the situation of the Brazilian international. The gunners will have limited funds in the summer transfer window and signing Willian on a free deal would be a move that might excite them.
Willian has been very impressive for Chelsea this season and was even the one that scored the winning goal for the West Londoners in the 2-1 defeat that Arsenal suffered at the Emirates Stadium this season. Willian has in most interviews said that he wants to stay in London and so that has been one of the main reasons why he has been linked with a move to Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
ESPN journalist Jorge Nicola said yesterday that the representatives of Willian believe that Arsenal might be leading the race to sign the 31-year-old in the summer transfer window and he has also now come out and said on ESPN that David Luiz is the player that is working behind the scenes to convince his former teammate to come to the Emirates Stadium. David Luiz has become a leader at Arsenal in the last few months and so it is no surprise that he would help the club in convincing Willian to ditch Chelsea and join the gunners.

It would be interesting to see the reaction of Arsenal fans if the club brings Willian because he would take away minutes that would have been given to youngsters like Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka when they’ve this campaign shown that they deserve more chances in the starting eleven. On the other hand, Willian would be a great signing for the gunners because he wouldn’t need time to adapt to the Premier League and would help the club not to put too much pressure on the youngsters.
