Arsenal signed Pablo Mari from Flamengo in the January transfer window and even though he arrived on a loan deal, there’s a lot of rumours that the deal will be made permanent in the summer if he manages to impress Mikel Arteta in the next few months.
Pablo Mari has so far played two matches for Arsenal this season and he has managed to keep a clean sheet in both games and the fans will be hoping that he keeps up this form when the North Londoners make a visit Brighton & Hove Albion as another win would maximise their chances of getting a Premier League top four finish.
Pablo Mari played in Brazil last season and his performances there helped him to get a move to Arsenal and he has admitted how it is pleasure to play in the Premier League which is one of the best leagues in the world. Mari has also gave a statement which will probably excite the fans as he claims that he would like to be at the Emirates Stadium for years.
“I want to play in one of the best leagues in the world and I am now here,” said Mari. I am going to do my best for the team, for the club, to win a lot of games and also for fans [so they can] enjoy [it] with me.” said Pablo Mari as quoted by Goal.com.
“I want to play a lot of years here with Arsenal. I am really happy now.I am going to try and do my best until the end of the season. I hope also the club is happy with me and then we are going to find a good end for everybody.”
Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta has been credited for improving players at Manchester City and he has already shown that at his new job as players like Mustafi and Xhaka have started performing better than most expected. Pablo Mari will definitely have a great chance of staying at Arsenal past the summer as Arteta has stressed the need of a left footed centre back in his team.
