Arsenal signed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the 2018 January transfer window and he has turned out to be an outstanding signing as he has in that time scored more than 40 goals but the North Londoners are at the risk of losing him as he has entered the final 18 months of his deal at the Emirates Stadium.
Aubameyang has been one of the best strikers in the world in the last five years and its common knowledge that he wants to play in the UEFA Champions League, and after coming close to it last season, the North Londoners were hoping that this would be the season that they get back to the UCL and convince Aubameyang to put pen to paper to a new deal since he seems to like it at Arsenal but he however wants to play in the highest level.
Aubameyang has however hinted at signing a new deal at Arsenal and gooners will be hoping that he does sign a new contract because he has been their best player in the last two seasons.
“I love the fans here. When I was younger I used to watch Arsenal because they always had great players and yeah … they won trophies as well.” Aubameyang told Sky Sports.
“I think it’s really a pleasure to be here. I’m really happy, and that’s the feeling.”
Aubameyang has been heavily linked with a number of clubs in the last few months but the gunners didn’t want to lose him in the January transfer window because he was too valuable to the club but he will be sold in the summer transfer window if he doesn’t renew as Arsenal’s head of football Raul Sanllehi said that the gunners won’t let any of their players to leave for free like Ramsey or have a similar situation like that of Alexis Sanchez.
