Arteta provides transfer update after disappointing draw with Sheffield United

Arsenal are still unbeaten in 2020 but they have now made two consecutive 1-1 draws with Crystal Palace and Sheffield United seeing Mikel Arteta have just one Premier League win since he took over as the new head coach of the North Londoners. The Arsenal fans have now begun asking for signings as despite Arteta’s impact, the gunners are not winning matches as they’d hope so.

The January transfer window opened a few weeks ago but the gunners haven’t been linked with many players which shows that Arsenal is not making any moves at the moment aside from reports from France which claim that the gunners could be in for Paris Saint Germain left back Layvin Kurzawa.

The gunners came into the match against Sheffield United hoping to reduce on the gap between them and the Premier League top four but they however dropped another two points despite having been the first to score and this has made their chances of getting UCL football become more slim. Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta faced the media after the game and gave a transfer update.

“The circumstances are changing daily because we keep having more and more injuries and suspensions.” Mikel Arteta told Sky Sports.

“We are there in the market, we are looking for options who can help us improve and give us more stability in certain areas but it’s still early to say anything.”

As per the statement above by Mikel Arteta, it looks like the gunners will take their time in choosing who to bring in as he has said that injuries will affect their transfer business. Arteta was appointed by Arsenal in December and the fans will be hoping that this transfer window doesn’t go to waste as he needs backing since he has shown that he has nice ideas.
