Celtic find Arsenal’s second offer for Kieran Tierney absurd

Kieran Tierney is among Arsenal's main summer targets but his club Celtic have rejected a second bid of the gunners because of some its unrealistic terms.

Kieran Tierney is one of Arsenal’s main summer transfer targets and the gunners have been in negotiations with Celtic for over a week now but nothing has been concluded as we’ve been receiving conflicting reports regarding the future of the Scottish international.

Arsenal believe that Kieran Tierney could fix their left back problems and first submitted a £15million bid but it was immediately rejected by Celtic since they want atleast £25million for the player. It has now been reported by Football Scotland that Arsenal have had a second bid rejected because the North Londoners are refusing to meet Celtic’s valuation of the talented fullback.

Arsenal’s second offer for Kieran Tierney was reportedly £17.5million with add-ons of £7.5m depending on the number of appearances of the player and the club’s performance in the domestic and European competitions but it’s claimed that Celtic said that some of the terms were quite unrealistic. It looks like Celtic want Arsenal to meet their asking price of £25million without any add-ons as they aren’t desperate to sell the player as they still need him in their squad.

The report also claims that Kieran Tierney is open to staying at Celtic for one more year but that Arsenal will try to make sure that it gets him this summer as Unai Emery wants a new left back in his squad before the start of the 2019/20 campaign. Arsenal’s pursuit of Kieran Tierney will probably drag on up-to July as the gunners don’t want to overspend its tight transfer budget.

Arsenal fans are no longer happy with Sead Kolasinac and Nacho Monreal and will definitely be disappointed with their club if they fail to land Kieran Tierney in this transfer window.
