William Saliba has been on Arsenal's radar for a while and current reports from France claim that the gunners have made a bid.

The gunners have been linked with William Saliba for weeks now but it looks like the North Londoners have finally made progress in their pursuit of the young Frenchman as current reports claim that a bid has been submitted.
Arsenal has an aging defence and Unai Emery has to plan for the future because his captain Laurent Koscielny can no longer last a full season and Sokratis Papastathopoulos will start declining in the next couple of months. The gunners have then identified AS Saint-Étienne centre back William Saliba who had his breakthrough last season and is now one of the hottest French prospects that have the potential to become world-class.
Reports linking William Saliba to Arsenal have been quiet in the last few days but we’ve finally got an update as RMC Sport journalist Mohamed Bouhafsi has claimed that the gunners have made a €30million bid for the 18-year-old centre back. Bouhafsi is considered reliable when it comes to news about French footballers.
He wrote;
“Arsenal have submitted an opening €30m bid to St Étienne for William #Saliba. St Étienne completely adamant that William Saliba must be loaned back for the 2019/20 season – not budging on that.”
So as per this report, William Saliba’s club will still want Arsenal to loan him back to for atleast one more season but it’s unclear if the gunners would accept to this condition as the desperately need new centre backs.
