Report: Why Unai Emery wants Ryan Fraser at Arsenal

Arsenal will reportedly sign a winger in the summer transfer window and current reports say that Unai Emery has identified Bournemouth's Ryan Fraser as a perfect candidate.

The gunners will be looking to strengthen their side in the upcoming summer transfer window and Unai Emery has this season lamented that his squad requires more wingers than they already have.

The gunners signed Denis Suarez on a loan deal and Emery said that he was going to use him as a winger but the Spaniard hasn’t started up-to now and a report by The Times claims that Arsenal has diverted its attention towards Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser who has been impressive this season in the Premier League this season.

We all don’t know why Unai Emery hasn’t given Denis Suarez a start up-to now when his loan deal will expire at the end of this season but the gunners getting linked with Ryan Fraser could be true since the North Londoners might decide to just sign a player who is proven in the Premier League.

Ryan Fraser’s experience in the Premier League could be the main reason why Unai Emery wants him at the Emirates Stadium because foreign players find it hard adapting to the Premier League yet they are needed to perform at their maximum best at their new club. Ryan Fraser has 10 assists and 6 goals this season in the Premier League and it’s pretty impressive considering that he is playing at a club where he doesn’t have top strikers like Lacazette and Aubameyang around him. Ryan Fraser is a quality player and he isn’t that expensive like Wilfred Zaha who is rated at over £50million despite the Bournemouth star having better season than him.

Some matches have shown that Arsenal lacks wingers because they only have one natural one and it’s Alex Iwobi who is inconsistent so Ryan Fraser coming to the Emirates Stadium would certainly improve the gunners. The good thing is that Ryan Fraser is just 25 years old and this is great for building a team instead of going for the likes of Ivan Perisic who are now old. So this season’s stats, price, age and Premier League experience could be the major reasons why Unai Emery wants to bring Ryan Fraser at Arsenal..
