Report: A closer look at Arsenal’s chances of getting a Premier League top four finish

The Premier League has been fun this season because we have got two clubs fighting for the title while three other clubs want to play in the UEFA Champions League next season. Arsenal was in the third position on the table some time back but they have somehow found themselves in the fifth position with three more games to go. So let’s take a look at Arsenal’s chances of getting a top four finish this season.

As you can see on the above Premier League table, the gunners are behind Chelsea by one point but a win over Leicester City this weekend will see them go back into the top four, one point behind Tottenham Hotspur if Manchester United manage to defeat the Blues at the Old Trafford tomorrow. Even though Tottenham Hotspur lost today, they still have more chances of getting a top four finish than the others because they will need to get two more wins over Bournemouth and Everton ( this will however be a bit tough one for them ).

We shouldn’t keep forgetting Manchester United because it can also still go all the way into the third position if results go their away in these final three matches of the season. Them getting a win over Chelsea will be fantastic for the gunners because they will go into the fourth position on the table, and be two points ahead of both clubs (Chelsea and Man Utd) while hoping that Spurs slip up and lose their last two matches so that they can go into that third position. (it’s funny how this is still possible)

Manchester United will however be at an advantage in the Premier League top four race if they beat Chelsea because Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are still in the European competitions, making their schedules to be busy which brings possibilities of star players getting injured. Arsenal really needs to step up in their game against Leicester City because if they lose, they will need to focus on the UEFA Europa League which is dangerous because Valencia could have their game of the season and eliminate them.
