Arsenal will be back in action today at the Goodison Park to try to get the three points from Everton who have won
their last two matches. The Arsenal fans will be hoping that Unai Emery selects a good lineup since they have been poor when playing away from home, let’s take a look at the expected lineup with all eyes on Aubameyang and Mesut Ozil.
PREDICTED ARSENAL LINEUP TO FACE EVERTON
Leno, Monreal, Mustafi, Sokratis, Kolasinac, Maitland-Niles, Guendouzi, Ramsey, Ozil, Aubameyang, Lacazette
FORMATION: 3-4-1-2
Goalkeeping:
Bernd Leno is Unai Emery’s first choice goalkeeper and he will probably be in the starting eleven that faces Everton this afternoon.
Defence:
Unai Emery likes the three-man defence and he will probably play with it again. Koscielny is still injured so we will have a back three of Monreal, Mustafi and Sokratis.
Wingbacks:
Stephan Lichtsteiner has returned to full training but the Swiss international will however not play because Ainsley Maitland-Niles has been impressive in the right wingback position. So Arsenal’s wingbacks will be Maitland-Niles and Kolasinac.
Central Midfield:
Granit Xhaka is still injured and so Unai Emery will have to look at other options. We will probably have the central midfielders that played against Newcastle United i.e. Ramsey and Guendouzi.
Attacking Midfield:
This formation requires a central attacking midfielder to be behind the two strikers, so Mesut Ozil will start this match even though the game will be away from home. Emery seems to have changed his mind on not playing Mesut Ozil in matches away from home so the German midfielder will get a chance to show that he can also impress in away matches.
Forwards:
Aubameyang was going to start with Lacazette on Monday but he had a temperature but he is however feeling well now. These two could start since Unai Emery badly wants this away win.
